The inspiration behind this self portrait was the movie A Scanner Darkly. The entire movie was filmed and converted to animation by a process called interpolated rotoscoping. Specific software (Rotoshop) was used to create the animation effects as seen in the film. I simply used Adobe Illustrator to achieve the same result by photo tracing an image I took of myself. The same effects can be seen on some of the Charles Schwab commericals that ran on TV.
